About Me
Details on my Myspace page. I work for California Dept. of Fish and Game as a conservation and permitting biologist. My past experience includes bird surveys in a grassland habitat; spotted owl, goshawk, and great gray owl surveys; undergraduate studies with cormorants, riparian corridor point counts, peregrine falcons and shorebirds; assisting with mist netting passerines, trapping buzzards and vultures, surveying/mist netting tawny owls, and filming Bonelli's eagles in Spain. Birding is one of my hobbies, which I started in 2001. I'm also a musician and recording artist and a fledgling novelist.
My favorite type of birds:
I've mostly worked with owls, but I love all birds.

Take Folsom Blvd. (from Sacramento) past Blue Ravine Road and turn left on Parkshore. There's always nice birding at L. Natoma. Sometimes I see an osprey hunting. I once saw a hooded merganser. Today I saw a great egret up close, a flock of gulls, a female robin, a black phoebe, and heard a towhee (I think--I'm… Continue
