I have been very much a homebody this winter. I do like to go at end of March-mid April to see what waterfowl is migrating on the Mississippi over here at the coon rapids dam. I am more into songbirds and owls and raptors tho. I just have been watching the few birds that come to my safflower and suet on my apt balcony for a while. I used to love to go out in the parks and woods and see new birds and the old common ones. It is fun tho. Elm Creek park in maple grove is big and i have seen a red-shouldered hawk once. great grey owl few yrs back--- when some of the tundra birds came because they were starving. That was cool! Another one i love to see but rarely do is the indigo bunting, beautiful voice they have too!
What have you seen in S. Mpls? My boyfriend just moved there to be close to his job. Also, i dont think i have been to rutledge mn---what is cool to see out there?
have a great day!
